Ladies and Gent in the lord I am Franklin Makia and here in Iowa USA and I am very happy to be a student of the Bible and deshenschool class 2020 and 2021.This year our goal is to read through the Bible before December 31 ,so we are already a month back but that should not be a problem because we got each other and the lord have us .So please join me and let achieve this together.

I have been reading the Bible before sleep and have been bringing my Bible to work. My habit was to work as I ate lunch at my desk, but now I have been using my 30 minute lunch to read. I have the YouVersion Bible App, use it often, and love it but I have been enjoying the experience of reading the pages in my hand. I do have terrible phone reception / connection / service at work, so this choice works well for me.

Thank you, Franklin. I’m on Nicky Gumbel’s Bible in One Year Plan for the fourth year. It’s finally working for me – Patrick’s guidance on just reading through and setting aside the “verse study” when it pops out for another time and purpose is very helpful! Now, recalibrating to going through it “with understanding” instead of simply accomplishing the goal to get through it. My “daily feed” has also narrowed down to personal devotion, bible-reading and Deshen devotional with a few others that I have “grown-up” with or firmly led to. The unction does not seem to come to “free-flow surf” as before outside of these few intentional and personal subscriptions. That adventure may just be for a season but glad nonetheless to be able to stay on point for this mission for the season: clean-up (shed anything that hinders especially that which easily entangles) and build-up (in The Word) to line up with His will and purpose.

Is there a way to show you what I have completed in my assignment? I would like to get some feedback. I purchased the Logos Fundamentals, but I feel it did not helped as such. I get going back and forth looking for different programs.

Lidia I have the same struggles here bought the logos fundamental too and it still a struggle at list you are even done .But don’t beat urself, that’s why we are students of the Bible. it may take few tries but we will get it this time .we have a good teacher and the lord will grant us understanding of his word.But you can send it directly to Patrick and he can help with guidance. Dear Beloved of King Jesus,
I want to share a funny thing that happened to me last night. So I been working on the following verse found in Colossians 3:2
“Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.”
Yesterday, I woke up in the middle of the night analyzing the verse. The whole verse came to my mind. This was around 3:00 am…. I think the word “Set” came appearing in my dream. For those of you that have taken this class before is this normal? 😂 I actually like the fact that my mind is staying on things above.
That is an amazing experience seriously.I have had something like that and wish for more . Because now when I read the Bible am already on study mode which I know is wrong for now because I get distracted easily. But to have experience like that in a dream ohh , wonderful that is Lidia .
